Artist Statement
Rooted in El Barrio and shaped by the vibrant spirit of 90s Spanish Harlem, my artistry was born in a world where beauty was both ritual and rebellion. Bold brows, lined lips, and the transformative work of artists like Kevyn Aucoin taught me early on that makeup could be power, storytelling, and self-expression all at once.
Raised by strong matriarchs, I inherited more than beauty secrets — I inherited intention. From my maternal grandmother came the discipline of skincare and the understanding that care itself is sacred. From my paternal grandmother came a deep connection to Puerto Rican culture and the magnetic femininity embodied by icons like Iris Chacón, Marquita Rivera, and Sylvia del Villard. Their glamour, confidence, and artistry became part of my creative foundation.
Today, my work exists at the intersection of beauty, culture, and emotion. I approach every face as a canvas with its own story — enhancing, never masking, the essence that already exists within. My artistry is not driven by trends, but by energy, individuality, and connection.
When someone sits in my chair, my intention is for them to feel seen, empowered, and fully aligned with themselves. Because makeup, to me, is never just aesthetic — it is transformation, memory, and ritual.
